Phnom Penh: The 11th Asia-Europe Parliamentary Partnership Meeting will be held online on 16 November organized by the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia under the theme "Strengthening Parliamentary Partnership for peace and sustainable development during and after the Covid-19 crisis."

In a press release issued on Thursday, the National Assembly stated that the meeting will be attended by the President of the Senate Say Chhum, President of the National Assembly Heng Samrin and Prime Minister Hun Sen.

The meeting is a forum for diplomatic relations between the Member States and promotes mutual understanding among the people of Asia and Europe.

The National Assembly of Cambodia states, "This is the first time for the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia, as the host country, to host such a virtual international meeting, and this event will be the largest in its contemporary history.”

The National Assembly of Cambodia is committed to making this meeting a success and hopes that the outcome of this meeting will achieve the common aspirations of the people: living in peace, stability and common prosperity.
